Tonight Melissa and I went to the craft sale and to walmart after that. At the craft sale we decided to get our cats some of these Happy Cat Pillows. I got one for each of my cats. As soon as I got home and put the bags down on the couch, Nellie was up smelling everything and of course, first thing she finds the bag with the Pillows in it. I could hardly keep her out of it, as I had to go upstairs and get Wink out of bed so they would both get them at the same time. The pillow above is Nellies pillow. The pillows have Catnip, cellophane and cotton in them.
This is Winks Pillow, as you can see I couldn't get it away from her even long enough to take a quick picture of it. It has snow bears on it..it's really cute too.
Action shot of Wink going at the pillow full force!!! Trust me there were no survivors!
Here is Wink again going at her pillow! She loves that thing! Who new that a $3.50 toy would keep her so entertained!
Nellie On the Nip! She gets a little silly on the catnip!
Both of my cats on the Nip. You can't tell from this picture, but Wink is still chewing/licking hers.
There is one New Year’s party that sticks out in my mind the most. The New Years Party of 1997. It was a great idea at the time, but turned out to be unrealistic!
New Years 1997. Me and some friends from Doaktown, decided that New Years would be cool if we could have a big party some place. After much deliberation, we decided that the Car Wash would be perfect. It was off the main drag, it had electricity, and most importantly there were NO PARENTS! It was really really cold that year...as in take the coldest day you remember and times that by 10 and you have how cold it was that night. One thing we apparently did not take into consideration was the lack of bathrooms and the lack of heat! Now I have to describe the car wash for you so you can visualize my New Years. I'd take a picture of it, but they tore it down since then...so sorry no picture!
The building consisted of two parts, one with a garage door and one with a regular door on the outside. The garage door is obviously where the cars are washed, it's a big empty room with a pressure washer and another door at the back. The floor is concrete, the walls are aluminum. The regular door leads to a dirt floor room where the wood is kept along with a wood stove (used to heat the concrete floor) and extra soap and other cleaning supplies. The door at the back lead to a small office of sorts, where the stereo is and another door to the wood room, also in this room is the supplies needed to wash cars.
We came prepared (so we thought) we brought camping chairs and of course coolers. The party began and it was cold in there it was actually warmer to sit on the concrete floor then it was to sit in the camping chairs or on the coolers. We sat around there for quite awhile and thought that if we drank more then we wouldn’t notice the cold.
Then came the first of the girls to have to pee…of course it was me…add alcohol and cold weather and yeah I’ve gotta pee!!! Of course there was no where for a girl to pee at least not with out freezing to death. So my friend Andrew lived in town and his parents weren’t home. I had been to Andrews a lot, and had been hired by his mom to do some light cleaning around the house.
My friend Sarah and I decided to walk down to his place to use the bathroom, it was about a 20 min walk, which we ran half the way cuz it was so cold! By the time we got there we couldn’t feel our legs, my thighs weren’t even there or so it felt. And I was pretty much sober by then.
After the facilities had been used, Sarah and I decided to get warm before the walk back to the car wash. I went upstairs and grabbed us a couple of blankets and wrapped up and sat on the couch, then we decided that we didn’t really want to walk back to the car wash and wondered how long it would take everyone to get the idea that we weren’t coming back.
We only sat there for about 20 mins before they all showed up, they had packed everything up and decided that Andrew’s place would definitely be a better place to celebrate New Years! That night we had a great time drinking and playing cards.
Andrew decided he wanted me to cook for him (he loved my scrambled eggs and bacon) So, he digs out the pans and we cooked. His parents were probably so mad at him, cuz we cooked a dozen eggs and two pounds of bacon that night! But what a feast it was!!!
That was my New Year’s of 1997.

Nellie not sure if she wants to get in the snow
Nellie was a whole other story. Once I convinced her to go outside towards the snow, she didn't want to get off the deck, and I really had to force her into the snow, but I got some cute pictures of her in the snow!!!

Nellie after I forced her into the snow

Nellie thinking "Is it time to go in yet??"

Nellie heading for the door...I guess she's ready to go in. Her trip lasted her about 2 mins!

Last night was funny, I went through that whole scene from above and after Wink was done eating she went over to the chair that had my coat on it, crawled underneath it with only her head sticking out...it was so cute!
Wink has ONE ball that she plays with it's a pink ball with a bell in the middle of it. She loves that think I could throw it for hours and she will chase it. She isn't very good at the whole fetching thing, so I get my work out too by chasing her trying to get the ball away from her. I've started a new game with her, because our new place has stairs in it, I throw the ball up the stairs and she runs after it and usually brings it back down the stairs waiting for me to throw it back up there. If I happen to sit down on the couch while I wait for her to bring it back down, when she does bring it back down I am supposed to get right off the couch and throw it again and if I don't she bats the ball around downstairs to let me know that she has brought it back downstairs..silly kitty!
Troy - If someone had of told me when I was 13 that when I got older my brother would be my best friend.....I would have laughed in their face and told them that they were crazy. But here I am, and here Troy is..and with out him I would have never have gotten over a few of the hurdles I have had to face. One thing i love about family is they have to love you no matter what you do or say. I would never have imagined the relationship that troy and I have...I hope he's ready to wear the pink dress and be a brides maid at my wedding...in about 40 years!!! LOL
ago or so. She's a co-worker and she's a very close friend. I can count on Melissa to be there to listen to me when I need her, and to make me laugh when I need the laugh. We've been through a lot in 5 years and our friendship is still going strong. I know that this friendship is around to stay for many years to come. I love the way Melissa and I can talk about everything and nothing, I love the way that we share a lot of the same interests, I love the way her smile can light up a room, and most of all I love the look she gets in her eyes when she is up to something! One of the traditions Melissa and some of the other friends from UPS have is taking a bathroom picture! They always turn out the best!!!
the world. I think we make much better friends then we did a couple. We have seen each other through a lot of bull...I love the way Stephen is so mechanically inclined...altho this is not my only or biggest love...it's definitely a good thing! I love the way Stephen has a look that makes you know he means business, I love the way he carries himself and how he presents himself to people, I like the way he pretends to be a meanie, but inside he's a romantic screaming for someone to notice.
funny!!!! I met Tim about 4 years ago, when my dear friend Melissa decided that him and I would make a good couple. That didn't happen, however I gained a good friend. I love how Tim is ready to go any where just about any time, whether it's a trip to Moncton or St. John just to get Taco Bell or a concert in Halifax. Tim is always easy going. I love how he is so thrifty, altho I bug him a lot about it, I wish I was like that!
he was funny, entertaining, and he lived about a block from my apartment. You can say we kinda hit it off. Since then we have been pretty good friends. I think he's worth mentioning, I haven't known him near as long as I have everyone else here, but he's a pretty good guy. He gets a little vulgar when he's drinking and I'll be the first to admit that. But most of the time I just find him entertaining and easy to talk to. I love how darren calls at 1am drunk and wants to talk...can't get the guy on the phone any other way!!! I love the way he makes me laugh and is pretty easy to tormet seeing as he works at the dump and all! I love how he gets dump goodies!!! I wish I could get dump goodies!!!
