Santa's new Reindeer?

Tonight when I was walking thru Zellers looking for one of those disposible kitty litter boxes, I came across tiny little reindeer horns and thought that my cats would look cute in them. They are made for small dogs, but I thought what the hay they might fit the cats. Umm I was a little wrong, besides the fact that the cats didn't want them on their heads, maybe they would have had they of fit right.

Here is Nellie, as you can tell she didn't want them on her head so she shook them so that she wore them more like a tie...haha silly kitty. This is after I got the bright idea of tying the elastic tighter. It worked, however, Nellie didn't want it on her head!

Here's a fight...not sure what it was over. Personally I think Wink was jealous that I was calling Nellie's name and wanted her to come up on the couch beside me...so the girlies got nasty with one another...Maybe Santa won't bring them anything now....lol

Nellie normally takes a bad picture, not really bad, she just looks really mad in all the pictures I have of her, but this time she has a reason to look so mad...this picture was taken right after the fight with Wink.

Wink had the same game plan as Nellie...wear it as a tie...actually in this picture, I think she is trying to figure out how to get it off...but she's pushing the wrong way.....shhhh don't tell her that tho! haha

Up close to Wink...as you will notice she still hasn't figured out how to take them off. Ha ha silly kitty!

Happy Birthday Melissa!!!

I'm a little early on this one, but we had Melissa's Birthday party on Friday night at my house.
We had a pretty good turn out considering there was a storm outside. It was snowing pretty bad and the roads were really crappy. Nonetheless the party continued on. In attendance was Melissa, Tara, Darcy, Tim, Andrea, Travis, Darren and myself. Fonda did call and say that she wasn't going to be able to attend due to the storm. I think Tara and myself were the only ones who were really drinking, everyone else was either driving, or just not drinking. Melissa got some great pictures of Tara outside, however, she is not willing to share them...LOL

Tara made a pretty snow angel in my back yard and she stole ornaments off my tree and decorated one of the trees in the back yard all for a photo op!

We started the night off by trying to play some mad gab, however, we weren't really in the mood for Mad Gab and decided we would better serve our time playing Asshole (now for family members who may be reading this..that's the name of the game....I didn't name it..so don't yell at me for swearing! LOL)

I had quite a few drinks while we were playing Asshole, it's one of my favorite card games! Definitely a good way to pass some time. However, the game is not as good with as many people as showed up at the party, so we had to stop playing. Then it became a kitchen party for awhile and then it moved into the living room. I went outside with Tara for a bit and they locked us out...we took off running for the front door...while Travis effortlessly gets up off the couch and walks to the kitchen only to lock the door just as Tara and I made it there...LOL us running and slipping on the ice/snow and we are both laughing so hard...it was just funny because Travis easily made it to the front door before us!

Everyone left the party pretty early..around midnight or so....after Travis and I had a fight over a roll of wrapping paper, he was the last person to leave the party.

I can't do the pictures like Jen can...she is yet to teach me..so I'm just gonna post a bunch of pictures.

One of our attempts to play Mad Gab....but Photo Shoots were more important...LOL

Tara and I locked out of the house...LOL

The only picture of Travis!!!

Hmmm the only person missing is Darren (Dumpy).....I wonder if anyone else got a picture of him!

Happy Birthday Stephen!

For those of you who didn't know...today is my friend Stephens Birthday. He's 29 today and for the next year....lol.

I usually suck at remembering birthdays on the actual day, so I'm every proud of myself that I actually remembered his.

Now since it is his birthday I feel I have to tell a story about him. I think the best one is when we first started dating....not that I remember much...as it was at a bar..LOL even though I met him at work.

One night a bunch of us got together and went to the bar, I don't remember who all was there because this was like 4 years ago, but every time I went to the bar I always seen tons of people I work with and it was guaranteed to be a great time. Now when I go out, I like to wander around the bar and see who all is there that I know. Sometimes meeting up with people from my home town, other times, just people I know from work.

So on one of my little trips around the bar (remember this is before sweets and rodeo got combined and I was at Sweets that night) and I was over by the pool tables (they don't have them there anymore...they are now over by the coat check, but they used to be by the second dance floor) and this guy comes up to me and says "Hi Lis" it's stephen and I knew him so I got a smile on (which is pretty much permently there) and I said "Hey Stephen" We made some small talk about work and the bar and stuff and then he says "So, You are coming home with me to night right?" I was dumbfounded....I had no idea what he meant by that. I knew he was a nice guy and that this couldn't be his way of trying to get me into bed with him...he has more class then that...most of the time anyways...LOL Besides I work with him, and that would have been awkward if that was all he wanted. I said "sure". So we danced a bit on the dance floor and then it was time to leave. Stephen hadn't been drinking (I kinda think we left early cuz I think we had to come back to the bar to pick his roommates up) so we went to his car and went for a drive and we talked...I think I did most of the talking, because Stephen is a pretty quiet guy. I imagine I was the chatterbox. I remember it was before I had gotten my Sunfire, and I kinda remember driving to different second hand dealerships, but I don't remember really looking at cars. I also remember we drove out by the traffic circle towards Nackawic. We picked up his roommates and headed to his place.

Once there we went into his room and listened to music and more of me talking until we both fell asleep...or at least I did...that boy don't sleep much!

It was a nice evening and the start of mine and Stephens relationship that was short lived, but it brought the two of us together in ways that neither of us had anticipated.

Now that my story is complete I would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Stephen (who thinks his bday is a secret...guess I just blew that) LOL

Christmas

Since it is the season to be Jolly....and for lights and cameras and stuff like that...I thought I would dedicate this post to my Dad...This is also for Melana, who now lives in Scotland and is unable to see Dad's lovely decorations this year (altho, i'm not sure if she ever reads this!). These pictures are from last year.

I thought I should start with my dad's village he sets this up every year..just for christmas...I counted the houses the other day and there are 29 I think...there could be one that I missed or something, but I'm pretty sure there are 29. I'm not really sure if there are enough people in his village for all the stores/jobs that are there, but this village is always a great job to put up! The shelf above the village has a bunch of coke stuff on it and there are quite a few coke pieces in the village.

This is a picture of my brother and his friends in the dinning room last christmas. Besides the boys that are there, it's also a great picture of the decorations in the dinning room. The only thing you can't see is the wall of cards (note to self: take pictures of card wall) The shelf above the window has a bunch of coke stuff on it..mostly tree ornaments, you might ask yourself why aren't they on the tree...well let me tell you...it's because they can't be taken out of the boxes..LOL or something like that.

This is the hallway looking out past the living room towards the kitchen. As you might be able to tell my dad is a little christmas crazy.....but we all love it and it wouldn't be christmas with out it! The shelf above the computer has a bunch of coke stuff on it.

This is my dad's tree. Just recently he has switched to all RED lights with WHITE garland...do you know what colors they are the trademark of??? See that coke lamp in the corner beside the tree. That lamp is one of only a few...or so my dad tells me...it was the one thing I was never allowed to play with or around for fear it would get broken.

Now if only I had a picture of Strawberry Squares!!! Then I could make Melana really miss home!!
