Almost Walking
Possibly a ballerina?? Maybe a figure skater?? Maybe just a dancer?? So much for trying to get her to walk on her own...she was more interested in her toes! LOL

So proud of herself!

A typical day when I'm in the kitchen. She's always got me by the pant leg! lol Somtimes she almost pulls my pants down, if I just have on a pair of PJ bottoms, she'll nearly have my pants on the floor! lol
She's good when she doesn't realize she's not holding on! LOL but as soon as she notices there isn't a hand she's got a hold of she goes right down to her bum! In this picture she was more interested in getting to daddy and teh camera! lol I hope you guys take note that my hand her and her hand are not touching!!!
I'm Up and I can't get Down!
Brooke loves to climb the stairs, however she doesnt' know how to get down. She gets so upset when she gets up on one stair and can't get down, this of course usually happens when I'm busy trying to get supper ready and can't get right to her. She just fusses until I go get her. This picture doesn't really depict the faces that I've seen her make but she still looks a little upset.

Van Craziness!
One day last week (the days run together on me....if I had to guess I'd say Tuesday lol) Jer called me at work early in the day. I figured he just wanted to talk, nope the van had just stopped on him. He hadn't dropped the baby off yet, he was still a bit away from the day home and he was worried about what he was going to do with the van. Both of us automatically thought, we'll just go buy a new van. I did however manage to talk Jeremy into taking the van to a mechanic shop, instead of to the house. All I could think of was "What are we going to do with the van once we get it there?!?!?!?" He got the ok from his work that he could take the day off and deal with the van.
That evening we decided to go have a look at new vans. Since the van is something we are likely going to own for 10 or more years, it would be a good to buy new and reliable. First we went to Ford, They aren't making mini vans anymore and have replaced the mini van with a Ford Flex. I tihnk it kinda looks like a hurse to me, but that was my opinion. Jeremy's ears opened up when the sales guy mentioned a built in fridge. LOL I do agree the fridge would be good for those long road trips for when we get posted to places all over Canada! But didn't think I should have to drive a hurse to get a fridge! and besides for years people have been using Coolers and they seem to work just fine!!!
Next we were off to GM. GM will no longer be making the Montana starting in 2010. Too bad because it was a pretty nice van, and they offered to take my car off our hands early. But we weren't looking at buying right away anyway, Jer wanted to see what warranties are available and of course overall cost of a new van.
After that we headed to Honda. Anyone who knows Jeremy knows he loves his forgein vehicles. Anyway, they have a gorgeous (as in I need it!!!!) mini van. I want it now, but once we sat down discussed price and everything, we were looking at a huge monthly payment on top of what we have now, as they wouldn't have taken my car off my hands, so I would have had to keep it and pay for it and the mini van until June. Not my idea of fun. lol
After our excursion, we headed home, in the car we discussed our plan. I told him to have the mechanic fix the van. That even though he loves to play around with the van and do work to it, that he really doesn't have the time to fix the things that need to be fixed. After we talked about it, and he agreed, he called the mechanic and had everything fixed that was a neccessity on the van. I told him we could do the repairs in a priority sequence. Heat....IMPORTANT!!! Starting...IMPORTANT!!!! Gear shifter working.....IMPORTANT!!! Speedometer working...Not as important as the other 3 I think you might agree with me there. lol
So the van got all the stuff fixed on it and we are set to go. Or so we thought! LOL
Thursday on my way home from work after I picked Brooke up, I was talking to Mom on the phone. I was almost home when I seen the van on the side of the road. I let mom go and stopped to see what was going on. My first thoughts was that it had stopped working again. But that wasn't the problem. The problem was that the tire had blown out. Luckily Jeremy was ok and the vans only injury was the busted tire. We spent the night getting the van back on the road.
So far so good...but let's keep our fingers crossed that the van continues to work for a while yet! lol
