Christmas Decorations

It was an odd weekend....while my neighbours mowed their grass, Jeremy and I put up Christmas decorations! lol We won't turn them on until December, but I wanted to get them up before it gets too cold to be outside. And before the snow arrives. Jeremy's going away on the 20th of October, and not coming back til the first week of November, soooo this past weekend seemed like a great time to do the decorations.

Here is some pictures of our work! We just need extension cords to hook them all together.

Random Update

I've been so busy lately, I haven't had time to download pictures from my phone to my computer. Which basically means I haven't been sharing pictures at all. lol Because I rarely post photos on FB altho, I have in the last week because I didn't think I would make it to my blog at all.

I'll do a long quick random update post.

One day this summer we met Nat and Owen and Jen at the splash park for an afternoon. It was a great day, the girls and I decided to do a picnic lunch too!

Assiniboine Forest, we sure seem to spend a lot of time there! lol You give girls cat tails and tell them they are cat tails...they of course make it a tail! lol

She wanted me to take lots of pictures of her and Tucker. 

We decided to get me a new big suitcase! It's not quite the same color as my other suitcase, but it's bigger!! :)

Brooke brought home artwork from school Bleu et Pas Bleu. (Blue and not blue)

She linked all her letters in her name together like writing. I asked her about it and she said "I wanted to write it the way you do Mommy." Growing up too fast!

Chloe's First day of Preschool

She was very excited about her first day of Preschool. She had a blast. She's in french immersion too, so her and Brooke can at least talk to one another. lol 

Science Museum

We went to the science museum a few weekends ago with the Lowe family. We had a great time, the kids loved all the experiments they could play with. Here is a picture of Chloe and Brooke playing with the pulleys.

First day of School

Here she is getting ready to pick a snack from the snack basket to take to school. She's allowed 2 and there is a basket in the fridge too with veggies and dip, yogurt and fruit. 

She's tying her shoes up so she can be all ready to go. Thanks to Lyn for the cheat...lol Works wonderfully!!

I thought it would be neat to see her writing her name at the beginning of each year. So here she is holding her name.

And I loved the idea of tracking what she wants to be when she grows up!

Now we are outside getting ready to head to school. This is when we found out it's super hot and muggy outside! 32.1C but feels like 40C and we are in a severe thunderstorm watch. Yuck! But, I can tell you the heat, and the thunderstorm watch did not dampen Brooke's excitement at all!

Here is a sneak peak of her with her classmates. And her teacher Madame K (pronounced Kah because it's french and her name is hugely long and complicated! lol)

This is Brooke's school, Ecole Robert Browning for grades K-5. This photo was taken parent teacher meeting night. It would have been really chaotic to take one today. lol

Last Playdate Before School

We got together with the Campbell's for one last day of playing before school starts. We had lots of fun at the Nature Playground at Assiniboine Park. Here is Nate, Brooke and Chloe playing in the water.

I thought they were making a sand castle, but they were making a mud cake instead. lol

Brooke's Indoor Shoes

We got Brooke brand new sneakers for back to school. We got them from a website called www.6pm.com. Free shipping in the USA, and amazing deals on shoes...not just sneakers! Only downfall, they do not ship to Canada...Thank you Cousin Melana Jean! So glad you were able to ship them to us in time for school!

Yup, Crocs! $25! Brooke picked them out all by herself.

Randomness August

Brooke wrote out all the ABC's. She was looking at them in order. I think she did a great job!
