Here are some pictures of Brooke in the dress she got from Aunt Audrey in England. Isn't it a cute dress? I'm not sure if she made it herself or not, but it doesn't have any tags on it. Maybe some of my relatives will speak up and let me know! lol I'm going to include a picture with her Thank You note (no I haven't sent it yet...I know...bad bad me!) Which one do you think I should send?

I think she's going to be sassy...wonder where she gets that from??? lol

Visit to a Fellow East Coaster!

I miss the east coast and a little while ago Marje, who I used to work at UPS with me, moved to Edmonton. I went to visit her on Monday. I have to say it was great to see a familiar face in this huge city!

Fish or Swing?

So the neighbours had a yard sale on the weekend. Jeremy wanted to get there early to make sure that everything was still there and he would have the best pick of all the items. lol The neighbours, Heather and Leo, are quite into woodworking and Leo has a ton of tools.

We came home with quite a bit of stuff and only speng 50 bucks. Jeremy got a pressure washer, a thing for digging fence posts, and a weed wacker, I got nothing, because I didn't see anything I really wanted. Brooke got a tupperware toy....you know the one with the shapes that go into the ball? it's red and blue and the shapes are yellow. I think we all had one as kids! and the other neighbours thought she needed a dolly so they got her a dolly that's bigger then she is! LOL And as we were leaving, I noticed a baby swing in the shape of a fish with the word (it's become my favorite) "FREE" on it. So we grabbed that too...now Brooke has her very own swing in her back yard!

And of course a video featuring, Brooke, Jeremy and myself. I didn't know he was videoing it. I'm not even dressed for heavens sakes! lol

Happy 30th to me!!!

As most of you know I turned 30 on Friday Sept. 26. Jeremy and I talked (not that it was hard) Beulah into watching Brooke for a couple of hours while we went out to a comedy club. It costs 25 a person to go and let me tell you it was worth the 25 dollars. My friend Kelly came with us and her and her boyfriend have broken up so she needed the laughs. All of us had a great time!

It was a bit of an adventure to get there. I was all ready to go, and then we stopped at the post office (for me to check on B-day cards...lol) and I remembered that I had forgotten the tickets to the show. Jer had just reminded me not to forget them before he went out the door. So we had to go back to the house to get those. Good thing the post office is only like 2 blocks from our house! But once we got past Fort Saskatchewan, I realized that I had forgotten the diaper bag!!! What kinda mother forgets the diaper bag when taking the baby to a babysitter?!?!? lol I am that kinda mother I guess. But we were like 30 mins from home and already running a little on the late side. So no turning back for us! We just stopped at a Superstore and got diapers, formula and wipes. We quickly dropped Brooke off, and shared a laugh over me forgetting the diaper bag, and out the door we went. Of course we were running late, and I had called Kelly and told her we were running a little late but would be there soon. But as luck would have it, there was construction on the route we took! lol So we ended up making it there 30 mins after the time we had told Kelly to meet us there! Ohh and it was in the West Ed Mall...which if you have ever been there, it's HUGE! We of course parked at the wrong end and had to pretty much run from one end to the other end to meet Kelly. I had worn high heels, and I have to say it did occur to me to take them off so that I could keep up with Jeremy, but no I decided to keep them on. Did I mention they were new high heels? yeah so I have blisters on me toes from where the heels aren't quite worn in yet. Ahh well all and all it was a great birthday and I would love to go back to the comedy club in the future...now that I know where it is and to wear sneakers! HAHA!

I just want to thank everyone again for all the cards and birthday wishes through email, facebook, or by card. They all helped in making my 30th special!

WARNING....High pitched Squeals!

I had to share with everyone what I hear when Brooke is playing on the floor. I keep telling her that Grandpappy would not have liked those high pitched squeals, but it doesn't seem to matter, she continues to do them anyways! lol Mostly this is what Brooke is like in the morning, she's all chatty and squealy, then she has a nap at about 11ish and when she gets up she's much less chatty. Enjoy the video!

I'm also going to include another video, that was supposed to be a picture! LOL The camera setting was wrong and by the time I got it switched to picture, Tucker had moved positions. So I'll share the short 2 second video to show how he likes to lay when he wants to be petted by Brooke.

Swinging away!

Here she is swinging at the park. She loves it! She hasn't been in her swing in a long time as it doesn't swing with her weight anymore. So...This is the best we can do. On our walks every night, we stop at the little park and put her in the swing for a few mins before continueing on our way.

So she might be a little too small yet for the swing, as in the picture she is hardly noticable...but she loves it and she can sit up on her own, so I see no harm.

I took a video...well the video happened first....as you can tell Jer thought I was crazy for videoing her. Ahh well, it's all in good fun. and it makes for a bit of a funny video! haha!

Little Boy or Little Girl???

This is a Roots shirt that came as a gift from New Brunswick. It's cute...but she really doesn't have much that goes with red! LOL I called her my little boy all day! haha!

Trying to get her to look at the camera...is not always easy! Sometimes red socks are more interesting then mommy with a camera! lol

What would a photo op be with out Tucker?? He lays beside her like that so she can pet him. He loves it!

Random Brooke Pictures

This was taken on the weekend...Bruderheim was celebrating 100 years, so we went to a pancake breakfast and a few other activities! This was us getting her ready. Thanks to Tara who gave Brooke the blanket (kept her really warm! as it was windy and cool out that day) and to Darcy who gave Brooke the outfit!

She finally did it! She's sitting up completely on her own now! What a big girl she is!

Finally we got her a highchair! lol As you can see Tucker can reach the table...but is there a table he can't reach?? Not in this house! lol

After she gave me the she's full signal, I gave her the bowl to play with...she made a bit of a mess..but isn't that what kids are supposed to do?

I tried to catch her holding the bottle up in the air with one hand...but this is the picture I got instead. LOL

I've been telling people about Brooke's big pout, but haven't been able to catch it. Well I kinda caught it. This isn't as deep a pout as she normally gets but you kinda get the picture. Isn't it cute???

Little Brooke at the Beach...in her little swim suit! haha! We didn't put her in the water, altho I'm sure she would have loved it. The water was all full of Algae, so we decided to keep her out of the water. I'm not sure how much sand she ate, but I'm sure she consumed some! lol

We didn't make it to the "beautiful people" part of the beach as Tucker was not allowed, so we stuck with where Tucker was allowed.

Nonsuch at the Museum

We went to the museum in Winnipeg and they had a boat there called the nonsuch. And we got a tour of the boat and took a few pictures. The museum was pretty good, a lot to see and I got tired after 3 hrs so much to read and learn..my head hurt! lol

Monk Monestary

We went to an old Monk Monestary. They used to be very self sufficient. They made cheese, had a farm, and lots of other things, but the building burned down and they are currently in the process of fixing it up to be a historical site. The monks moved out when the city started to grow so big that it was getting close to the monestary.
