Monk Monestary

We went to an old Monk Monestary. They used to be very self sufficient. They made cheese, had a farm, and lots of other things, but the building burned down and they are currently in the process of fixing it up to be a historical site. The monks moved out when the city started to grow so big that it was getting close to the monestary.

Assiniboine Park

This park is huge and used by a lot of people for every reason imaginable. People were playing Cricket one day, soccer the next and lots of people sun bathing!

We took advantage of checking out some of the gardens they have.

This is the Formal Gardens. Everything was exactly the same on either side and you could walk down the middle.

This is taken from a bridge. You walk over the bridge to the other side and go to a ice cream shop, get some ice cream, make a mess because the ice cream melts faster then you can eat it, then you walk back across the bridge! lol Or at least that is what we did! haha!

Winnipeg Zoo

This is a picture of the white buffalo in the Winnipeg Zoo, it's very rare. I think his name is Blizzard.

What's a zoo with out a Tiger?? Not a Zoo....lol
Jeremy actually chased this little raccoon around to get a good picture of it. LOL Poor guy was probably scared to pieces!

Peacocks were running wild around the Zoo, you never knew what cage you would see them in!

Camels...I'd never seen on in person only on TV.

I Made It!!!

16 hours from the time we left our house in Alberta, we arrived in Winnipeg, greeted by rain! lol
For about 5 hrs on the way through Sask, Jer and I watched this beautiful lightening storm. It was amazing seeing it wayy off in the distance....then....we got there! lol 5 hrs later! is that crazy or what?!?!? Anyways, the damage was done in Portage La Prairie, there were trees down, the wind was crazy strong. They had gotten quite a bad storm I should have taken pictures of the trees down, but was scared to get out of the van for fear I might blow away! lol Yes the wind was really that strong!

There will be more of an update later to describe what I have done in the last week (almost). I don't get much PC time here, Jer has me on the go quite a bit....Today, I think we are going to a beach...one that I can get in the water at and apparantly is counted as one of North America's most Sexy Beaches....Don't worry gals...I'll be checkin out the guys to see if it's worth the travel out here to go guy watching! haha!

Margo (Jer's mom) agrees that there are some hot bodies to be seen...so we are going to check it out! lol

Jolly Jumper = Best 40 dollars ever spent!

Jeremy and I agree that the Jolly Jumper is the best 40 dollars we have ever spent on Brooke! She loves that thing! Bouncing away....and it plays her out so we get good sleeps too! haha! It's an all around winner in my books!

4 Months

Can you believe my baby girl is 4 months old today?! I sure can't! She sure is alert these days. We were to home depot tonight and she wanted to touch everything! lol I had to rescue a few plants....it might not have been such a good idea to stand so close! LOL They are only missing a few leaves now! haha!

Tucker and Brooke cooperated pretty good today for their picture, still no smile from Brooke and Jeremy was talking so Tucker is looking away in one picture.

I've also started feeding her cereal on a regular basis! Boy does that get messy! But she's starting to get used to the idea of a spoon and what to do with it, and that food follows! lol

Here is a picture Jer and I got done on Dad's Birthday. We went to the West Edmonton Mall and there was a cartoonist there. This is what he came up with, Jer is quite proud of it!

Brooke's first Boo Boo

It looks a lot worse then it is now! lol We were playing outdoors, when Tucker started batting at a fly that was bugging him, his paw landed on her face/eye. It was a complete accident, I don't even think Tucker was aware of what he had done. He's normally pretty good with her, always gentle, but this fly was really bothering him and he didn't even think before he started swatting at it. Brooke was better way before I was! lol I was still crying when she was laughing. She's not scared of him now either, she still smiles at him and reaches for him when he walks past her. It was bound to happen sometime right?! She wasn't going to NEVER get a boo boo in her life! lol

Too Busy Tomorrow

I'm gonna be too busy tomorrow to do my update on Sunday. Jeremy has decided to have my family over for supper for his birthday (which was Thursday). So I have a lot to do today and tomorrow, but thought I'd get my update out there for you all! lol

One of the ladies on the scrapbooking website made the fixin's for this page. She provided me with the photo mats, the title, all the little flowers and the journal box. All I had to do was add pictures, a little journalling, the background cardstock, and glue everything to the page! Thanks so much Christine! (She only lives like an hour away from me!)

I made this little page kit for one of the ladies on the website. She has 7 grandkids 2 are girls and the other 5 are boys. Everyone was making her girlie kits, which were cute, but she has boys too! lol

Brooke Rolling

Here is Brooke rolling over, I wanted to be sure to catch her rolling over so she's on her side when the video begins, but she was on her belly in the beginning, I just wasnt fast enough with the camera! lol

3 Months

I could not get Tucker or Brooke to work with me this month! These are the shots I got in before the camera started acting wacky! She's starting to recognize Tucker now. She smiles when he licks her and when she sees him. It's so cute!

Purchases lately

So I've started scrapbooking again, and I've done a little shopping to catch myself up to date in the lastest of things! lol Here is what I bought on Friday using 2 50% off coupons for Michaels, and I went to two stores! lol It was only 50% off one item, but still that helps!

And I bought myself a bikini! lol It's been so hot out here, I figure I can wear the top around the house. I'm not in my bikini body yet (left that at the shop! lol) but I figured for around the house, I can try not sweating to death! lol Also good for working in the yard, as I won't have much for tan lines! lol Because I am actually tanning this summer, not burning! I love it!

Yes that is snow behind Jeremy and Tucker. lol It's actually a Glacier! Pretty cool eh?! Would you believe it was +32 that day?!

This is a picture of a lake near where we set up camp. Did you know that provincial parks are free for camping and hiking out here?!?!?
