I just had to take Brooke out to the snow! lol So I dressed her up and away we went to make a snowman...Ok I did all the making...Jeremy didn't even help...party pooper! lol

Preview/Teeth and randomness

This is Brooke's Christmas dress....I tried it on to make sure it was a bit too big so it will still fit at Christmas time. Isn't it a cute dress?? I knjow you can't see it all...but that's the point to a preview! LOL And if you look really close...you can see her two bottom front teeth. Mom was wanting to see them...but it's hard to catch her with the perfect pose for the teeth! lol

This is what happens when you give Brooke a bowl of food expecting her to eat it! LOL Altho, I have to say that she did eat most of her breakfast that day.

This is what our van looks like with out a back window! LOL The kids around town were nice enough to break it for us on Halloween. How sweet of them! We do have a replacement, but it's not on yet.

As you can see Tucker has been out making tracks in the snow! lol It's still snowing...it's one of those snows that is awesome because it means Christmas is coming! It's the kinda snow that makes you feel like it should be Christmas morning!

Windstorm anyone?

I went to a baby shower yesterday and when I got home this is the shape I found my back yard in. No Tucker was not out there! LOL

I swear this tree was standing straight before I left! LOL That is how strong the wind was! Part of the fence was also knocked down. So I recruited my neighbour, Gerald, to give me a hand at getting it back up. We added some boards and I'm pretty sure it's sturdier now then it was when I left yesterday! Which is good, hopefully I won't have to fix it again!

My New Kitchen

So as some of you know, Jeremy and I got at the kitchen after our trip to Winnipeg. We've been busy getting things put back together, and I'm happy to say that for the most part, the kitchen was done before Jeremy went back to work! Yippeee for us! haha.

These last pictures are what my Kitchen currently looks like. Now let me explain the boxes of cereal, the coffee mate, and the dog food....lol The Extra Foods Grocery store out here is changing to a No Frills grocery store, so they had huge sales to get rid of all the stuff they weren't going to sell anymore. That doesn't mean they won't be selling HoneyCombs...lol Just not that size box. I can't remember what we got the boxes of cereal for, but I think it was close to 3 bucks for the jumbo sized box. I went back this last Tuesday and they had more stuff marked down even further...Most everything was 94 cents!!! Nestle Baby Cereal...94 Cents...I bought like 10 boxes. Jars of Baby food...24 Cents. Yeah I went a little nuts and walked away spending 122 dollars on 94 cent items! LOL But I shouldn't have to buy a lot of stuff for a long time!

The cupboards actually have a Faux Finish on them called Sandwash. They have it at Home Depot, so the cupboards are actually kinda rough to the touch. But I think they turned out wonderfully!

We found the yellow to be a bit BRIGHT! lol Even with the cupboards painted the dark color. So we decided to make the stairs wall the same color, however, you can't buy the exact color just for paint, only in the faux finish. So Jeremy picked this color out all by himself. It's a tad darker then the cupboards, but you really can't notice.

We had a bon fire one night. I know this isn't something people usually do in the backyards on the east coast, but it's pretty big here in Alberta, I think just about every house has a firepit in the back yard! Imagine...roasted Marshmellows and you aren't camping! lol

From England

Here are some pictures of Brooke in the dress she got from Aunt Audrey in England. Isn't it a cute dress? I'm not sure if she made it herself or not, but it doesn't have any tags on it. Maybe some of my relatives will speak up and let me know! lol I'm going to include a picture with her Thank You note (no I haven't sent it yet...I know...bad bad me!) Which one do you think I should send?

Visit to a Fellow East Coaster!

I miss the east coast and a little while ago Marje, who I used to work at UPS with me, moved to Edmonton. I went to visit her on Monday. I have to say it was great to see a familiar face in this huge city!

Fish or Swing?

So the neighbours had a yard sale on the weekend. Jeremy wanted to get there early to make sure that everything was still there and he would have the best pick of all the items. lol The neighbours, Heather and Leo, are quite into woodworking and Leo has a ton of tools.

We came home with quite a bit of stuff and only speng 50 bucks. Jeremy got a pressure washer, a thing for digging fence posts, and a weed wacker, I got nothing, because I didn't see anything I really wanted. Brooke got a tupperware toy....you know the one with the shapes that go into the ball? it's red and blue and the shapes are yellow. I think we all had one as kids! and the other neighbours thought she needed a dolly so they got her a dolly that's bigger then she is! LOL And as we were leaving, I noticed a baby swing in the shape of a fish with the word (it's become my favorite) "FREE" on it. So we grabbed that too...now Brooke has her very own swing in her back yard!

And of course a video featuring, Brooke, Jeremy and myself. I didn't know he was videoing it. I'm not even dressed for heavens sakes! lol

Happy 30th to me!!!

As most of you know I turned 30 on Friday Sept. 26. Jeremy and I talked (not that it was hard) Beulah into watching Brooke for a couple of hours while we went out to a comedy club. It costs 25 a person to go and let me tell you it was worth the 25 dollars. My friend Kelly came with us and her and her boyfriend have broken up so she needed the laughs. All of us had a great time!

It was a bit of an adventure to get there. I was all ready to go, and then we stopped at the post office (for me to check on B-day cards...lol) and I remembered that I had forgotten the tickets to the show. Jer had just reminded me not to forget them before he went out the door. So we had to go back to the house to get those. Good thing the post office is only like 2 blocks from our house! But once we got past Fort Saskatchewan, I realized that I had forgotten the diaper bag!!! What kinda mother forgets the diaper bag when taking the baby to a babysitter?!?!? lol I am that kinda mother I guess. But we were like 30 mins from home and already running a little on the late side. So no turning back for us! We just stopped at a Superstore and got diapers, formula and wipes. We quickly dropped Brooke off, and shared a laugh over me forgetting the diaper bag, and out the door we went. Of course we were running late, and I had called Kelly and told her we were running a little late but would be there soon. But as luck would have it, there was construction on the route we took! lol So we ended up making it there 30 mins after the time we had told Kelly to meet us there! Ohh and it was in the West Ed Mall...which if you have ever been there, it's HUGE! We of course parked at the wrong end and had to pretty much run from one end to the other end to meet Kelly. I had worn high heels, and I have to say it did occur to me to take them off so that I could keep up with Jeremy, but no I decided to keep them on. Did I mention they were new high heels? yeah so I have blisters on me toes from where the heels aren't quite worn in yet. Ahh well all and all it was a great birthday and I would love to go back to the comedy club in the future...now that I know where it is and to wear sneakers! HAHA!

I just want to thank everyone again for all the cards and birthday wishes through email, facebook, or by card. They all helped in making my 30th special!

WARNING....High pitched Squeals!

I had to share with everyone what I hear when Brooke is playing on the floor. I keep telling her that Grandpappy would not have liked those high pitched squeals, but it doesn't seem to matter, she continues to do them anyways! lol Mostly this is what Brooke is like in the morning, she's all chatty and squealy, then she has a nap at about 11ish and when she gets up she's much less chatty. Enjoy the video!

I'm also going to include another video, that was supposed to be a picture! LOL The camera setting was wrong and by the time I got it switched to picture, Tucker had moved positions. So I'll share the short 2 second video to show how he likes to lay when he wants to be petted by Brooke.
